Screen printed biosensors

Screen printed biosensorsThe Institute has expertise in the development of conductive inks used to screen-print novel biosensors. Inhibition of enzymes immobilised on the sensor surface has been used to produce a rapid and sensitive assay for pesticide residues on food or in water.  Other screen-printed biosensors have been developed for measuring mycotoxins in food and ammonia in water.

Lead researcher: Professor John Hart
